EMERJ
Emerging Multidisciplinary Engineering and Science Research Journal
An international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing rigorous research across engineering, technology, and both the basic and applied sciences, along with related interdisciplinary domains.
Indexing in progress
EMERJ is actively working toward indexing in Scopus. As we build a consistent publication record, our editorial team is preparing the journal to meet international indexing standards — including rigorous peer review, transparent policies, and high metadata quality. We invite authors and reviewers to be part of this foundational stage.
About the Journal
EMERJ is the flagship research journal of the School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA) at Ateneo de Davao University. It provides a credible, internationally oriented publication venue for scholarship spanning engineering and the sciences — welcoming not only applied and translational work but also fundamental, basic-science research — with particular attention to problems and innovations relevant to Mindanao, the Philippines, the Asia–Pacific, and the Global South.
EMERJ does not privilege applied research over basic research. Foundational studies in the physical, chemical, computational, and mathematical sciences are equally within scope, provided they are rigorous and of clear scientific value. Both curiosity-driven inquiry and application-oriented innovation have a home here.
Open Access
All articles are freely available online with no subscription or paywall, maximizing reach and citation potential.
Peer Reviewed
Every submission undergoes editorial screening and double-blind review by at least two independent experts.
Internationally Oriented
EMERJ welcomes contributors and reviewers across institutions and countries, supporting future Scopus indexing goals.
